I found a great article from Oprah that turns five common negatives into positives. How to Think Like a Fit Person: Change the Way You Look and Feel by Changing the Way You Think, Starting with Your raison de sweat, by Corrie Pikul and Emma Haak, helps you flip self-defeating thoughts into achievable goals that will inspire you to keep going.

What I’ve noticed in my time as a trainer is that a lot of the struggle leaves when fitness stops being a decision- to work out or not to work out?- and becomes a way of life. When you find something you enjoy doing (hate to run? Try yoga, or cycling, or something that makes you happy), and if you can find a friend to share the experience, you will begin to enjoy, and maybe love, the time you spend on fitness.

Don’t retreat, just rethink.
