So what’s usually the first thing to go out the window when traveling?  Well, if you have 10 minutes, it doesn’t have to be your workout!

Here is what we suggest you do to keep your heart pumping and your body moving, before—or even after—a tough day:

• Find an open space in your room and get a timer ready.

• Pump yourself up to the idea that you’ll be doing 10 exercises and for 10 minutes only!

• Depending on your athleticism, go quickly or slowly through these actions. For each minute, keep repeating one action, without losing form.

Ready.   Set.   Go!

  1. One Minute—Jumping Jacks
  2. One Minute—Push-ups (modified is okay)
  3. One Minute—Wall Sit
  4. One Minute—Plank with Leg Lifts, alternating Right and Left Legs
  5. One Minute—Triceps Dips (Use a chair)
  6. One Minute—Rockette Kicks, alternating Right and Left Legs)
  7. One Minute—Balance on Right Leg and Touch Floor
  8. One Minute—Balance on Left Leg and Touch Floor
  9. One Minute—Luggage Rows, Right and Left Arms
  10. One Minute—Mountain Climbers

Boom!  Metabolism jolted!  Muscles Challenged! Done.

I cannot highlight enough what it means to move vigorously at times.  And that said – studies are showing it does not have to be a long time !  Consistency matters more !  10 Minutes can be huge, especially while traveling.
